Holland Park Primary School, Essex - Teaching Staff - Miss Austin

Miss Austin

Class Teacher

About me…

Teaching is like no other job! It gives me great pleasure, challenges me, is fulfilling, exhausting, stimulating and never ever dull. I feel privileged to be a part of so many children’s lives, bringing learning to life and helping them discover their personal passions. I thoroughly enjoy my job and I feel very lucky to work with such a wonderful, dedicated team of adults who also share my passion to provide the best education we can for all the children at Holland Park Primary.

In my spare time I love to catch up with friends, read and go shopping. I also love anything adventurous as well as afternoon tea!

Teacher’s Introduction

Miss Austin – Year 1 Teacher

I am a Year 1 teacher and I have worked at Holland Park Primary since 2008, when I was a Degree student. After working for two years as a full-time Teaching Assistant I then took a year out to go travelling. I travelled all over the world and lived and worked in Australia too! Holland Park then welcomed me back with open arms when I then went on to complete my Teaching Training year.

I have another amazing class this year and we are really enjoying our new topic ‘Beautiful Britain’. Over the next few weeks we will be learning all about famous landmarks and traditions where we will then bring our topic to a close with a traditional British tea party… but keep it a secret as it’s going to be a surprise!
