About the PTA
There is a flourishing Parent and Teachers Association, which organises a large variety of social and fund-raising events throughout our school year. Every parent is a member of the PTA as soon as their child enters the school.
The elected committee this year are as follows and they can be contacted through the school office.

Simple ways you can Help
The PTA committee is always looking for willing volunteers. Any help is most appreciated. Honestly, you do not have to attend meetings, or spend long hours at events!
Please, as a minimum, display our events posters and attend our events, encourage others to attend, donate your second-hand uniform, or your recycling. Donate prizes if you can.
Please go via the Giving Machine website when you make any online purchases. They give us a percentage of what you spend, without it costing you a penny.
Please purchase our PTA calendar, or second-hand uniform. Buy from ‘Yellow Moon’ (don’t forget to quote our code) as they give us a percentage of what you spend.
You may work for a company that allows staff to participate in the pound for pound charity events, or your company can support in other ways by donating prizes, or perhaps sponsoring a horse at one of our Race Nights.
If you run your own business, you may have skills or facilities that could be beneficial to the school. Perhaps you would like to advertise in our Summer Fayre program.
If you have any ideas for fund-raising, please do not hesitate to contact us. If you would like to join our active membership, we would love to hear from you. Please contact any of the Committee via the School Office.
Please like our Facebook page.
Remember you must be 13 years old to use Facebook.
How the funds are Spent
In the academic year 2011-2012 we raised £13,900 from our varied events. The money raised pays for items, activities or projects, which benefit the school and the pupils. These luxuries would not be affordable without the help of the PTA as they are outside the normal school budget.
Below is a list of recent purchases/contributions towards:
- Teachers Wish list items
- Swimming lessons for the years 3, 4 and 5 children
- Whole school is treated to a trip to see a Pantomime at Christmas
- Basketball coaching
- Crucial Crew Visit
- Easter Nest Making
- Picture Frames
- Living Eggs for children to watch hatch in school
- Commemorative Royal Jubilee Mug for every child
- Xmas expenses for reception children
- Year 6 Leavers BBQ
- World War II Project
