We had an exciting science day this week, exploring what we know about light. Next week we are looking forward to taking part in more experiments, testing our knowledge about sources of light and shadows. Mrs Stephens.

This week, Year 3 have had an amazing Science Day, exploring and sorting strengths of magnets and their purposes. Next week we shall be furthering our studies on money and using practical examples to help us.
This week we have been editing our stories, inspired by reading The Iron Man, by using frontal adverbials and prepositions. Next week we are looking forward to presenting our stories, using our editing techniques, to be presented in our best handwriting.
This week we have begun our exciting Science topic on Forces and Magnets and have shared our own prior knowledge. Next week we will be beginning to re investigate Forces and their effect in daily life. Mrs Stephens.
This week we have enjoyed reading using VIPER skills and dramatising chapters from Ted Hughes ‘The Iron Man.’ Next week we are looking forward to presenting our own stories about the Iron Man and a possible sighting of him at Steel Stella on the pier! Mrs Stephens.
Year 3, along with the whole school, were memorised by the playing and talk given, by locally born yet internationally acclaimed cellist, Kate Ellis. Next week we are looking forward to using our VIPER powers further, whilst studying ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes.
This week we have enjoyed making models of volcanoes as part of our Geography unit. Next week we are looking forward to erupting our volcanoes in Science safely in the playground!
